Work Readiness Program
The work readiness program is designed to orientate international qualified nurses to the Australian healthcare system and position them to have better employment outcomes.
Key features:
- Blended delivery - online and face-to-face practical skills
- Work placement within Australian health care facilities
- Access to the program content and clinical resources via our Learning Management System (LMS)
- Face-to-face classes will be held in Myrtleford (Alpine Health campus)
- Related learning experience in the clinical ward within Alpine Health or with one of our partner health service providers
- Classes and clinical supervision delivered by our team of experienced Nurse Educators
- Direct communication to a Clinical Nurse Educator for the duration of the program
- Ongoing review, clinical simulation and practice
- Online workshop to cover the following topics:
- How to create an effective resume and Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- How to address a selection criteria & prepare for an interview
- Student Support Coordinator to provide student health and wellbeing support for the duration of the program
- Accommodation can be arranged on campus (fees will apply)
- Administrative support team to assist students with their travel arrangements to Myrtleford, transport to their accommodation site (optional), setting up bank accounts and orientation to Myrtleford, including the Alpine Health site, town centre and facilities, as well as other community facilities and attractions.
